frequently asked questions

Have questions? We’re here to help

Can I order fabric samples?

Yes! Free fabric samples are available for most collections across all the brands we stock. Samples help you see colour, texture, and weight before placing your full order.

Can you help me choose the right fabric?

Yes. We offer personalised advice on selecting fabrics for durability, fade resistance, texture, and style.

Do these brands offer commercial or heavy-duty options?

Yes. Brands like Warwick, Wortley, and James Dunlop offer extensive high-performance and commercial-grade ranges suitable for hospitality, healthcare, and office environments.

Do your fabrics meet fire-retardant or safety requirements?

Several brands offer fabrics that meet local fire-retardant (FR) standards. If you require FR fabrics, please let us know and we’ll recommend suitable ranges.

Can you source fabrics not shown on your website?

Yes. If a brand carries a fabric or collection that is not listed online, we can often source it for you. Simply send us the pattern name or a photo.

What width are the fabrics?

Most fabrics range between 137cm and 300cm wide, depending on the brand and application. Sheers are often offered in wider widths. Product pages list exact measurements.

How do I care for my new fabric?

Care instructions vary by brand and material. Each fabric comes with a recommended cleaning guide—typically including vacuuming, spot cleaning, and professional cleaning for delicate textiles.

What is your return or refund policy on cut fabrics?

Because fabric is cut to order, returns or refunds are NOT available unless the product is faulty or incorrect. We always recommend ordering samples first.

Why do you recommend approximately 20mm off the floor and WHY do you prefer the opening measurements with no allowances?

This helps to avoid dragging or pooling unnecessarily. If curtains touch the floor, they can collect dust, get dirty, and wear faster. A small gap (~20 mm) prevents constant contact while still giving a neat, “full-length” look. 20mm is approximate only, but it also allows for if your floor isn't exactly level - If you try to achieve a "touch floor" look and the floor is not level, it will look VERY noticeable with light in some areas and not in other spots. If you choose this look, you do take this risk. Alternatively, you can "pool" 30mm or so onto the floor, for a distinct on floor look.

It also for shrinkage or fabric movement. Some fabrics (especially natural fibers like cotton, linen, or silk) can shrink or expand over time. Leaving a small clearance prevents the curtains from suddenly touching the floor.

A small gap allows you to vacuum or mop underneath without catching the curtains.

20 mm off the floor → avoids dragging, dirt, wear, and allows cleaning.

We take off the track allowance → ensures curtains hang at the correct height and look intentional, not accidentally short.
